Be reasonable, man. Let reason be your guide in life.
Do not stand out in society. Society will ostracise you.
Act like an animal. That IS what we are, aren't we?
There is no good or evil.
I say I am reasonable because I use "reason" to solve problems. This is
a very unfashionable thing to do in "the first world". The title, "The
Unquiet Earth", reflects the adverse global effect of humankind.
Planetary health would be very fine if not for us. Call me a
misanthrope if you want to. Most people seem quite likable on an
individual basis but they seem quite unreasonable when grouped.
When I was a performer I stood out, but it wasn't my main goal in life. Now "middle-aged" - I believe that term will soon become obsolete - I want to make a new mark. That which I did in my 20's is now available for digital dissemination. Excuse the hubris, but I should be on Wikipedia. Self-promotion is not one of my fortes. In fact I am loathe to write about myself in this medium. Anonymity helps.
As for age: It is my hope that my surviving parent lives to 150. If they want to, that is. It is my belief that anti-aging science will advance our life-spans to multiple centuries within some of our lifespans. My parent is approaching a very active 95, even with 2 brand new knees. Many of their relatives lived close to 110. Hopefully, I've inherited that trait.
Why "The Unquiet Earth"? We, as a species, have been very cruel to Gaia. Apocalypse flicks dominate the box office / net. Big media over-reacts to trivial stories to entice viewership resulting in fervid typing/trolling/texting mania. Everything would be much quieter if there were no us. Homo Sapiens Sapiens, that is. Also "The Quiet Earth", is an awesome Kiwi (N.Z.) flick you should see.
